The interesting thing is that the Indians actually mutilated and scalped everyone but Custer. The Sioux were well-known for mutilating and scalping bodies, so this could easily be a taunt directed at the opposing warriors. " Cut, cut, cut me up and Fuck, fuck, fuck me up" He knows that he's surrounded and that the Indian warriors are going to slaughter him and mutilate his body for trying to attack their village. This particular village isn't special, it's just a collection of (people and buildings?) made of clay. " This one, it isn't special Collections made of clay I'm waiting for the punishment I know it's on my way" The Indians are going to be killed and attacked inevitably by the American armies eventually, so he might as well get in on the fun. "With jealousy and ignorance" most likely means the attacking army's jealousy for the Indian's resources (the land had some gold at the time) and ignorance of their culture. He could be recognizing that he's just attacking these people because they're unusual and different, while he comes from a supposedly civilized governed society. The definition of exceptional in this context most likely would mean unusual or weird. I think Custer is a badass song about the battle at Custer's Last Stand. So I was trying to analyze the lyrics behind the song, Custer, and with the official release of the song, I think it's a good time for discussion.
